Teaching Philosophy

  • Singing is for everyone.

    • No matter how good (or bad) you think you are, everyone can improve their singing.

    • Singing can be a lifelong endeavor, and can be a rewarding activity at any age.

  • SINGING ALLOWS US TO EXPRESS OURSELVES IN A VERY PERSONAL MANNER.

    • Regardless of whether you aspire to be the queen of karaoke, a leading tenor at the Metropolitan Opera, or a more confident singing member of your religious institution's congregation, there is something for everyone in singing.

  • IN TEACHING SINGING, I BELIEVE IN:

    • helping students achieve their goals, as well as broadening their perspective and knowledge;

    • providing students with a safe, supportive environment in which to learn how to use their voice most effectively;

    • building a healthy technique that will keep a student's voice healthy for as long as they wish to continue singing.
